Tencel™ viscose rugs

SOLO collection tufted viscose rugs are made with care and dedication, from natural high-quality materials. To make sure your rug maintains its quality and character over a long lifetime, take a good care of it regularly.

Elegant, silky and luxurious Tencel™ is a contemporary nature-friendly viscose fiber – made from wood cellulose using nanotechnology.
Colours are bright and playful even on a simple single-coloured rug.
Tencel™ is a durable and biodegradable viscose fiber; when used indoors, it regulates moisture balance and does not retain bacteria, making it a safe companion in your living environment.

  • Our SOLO collection tufted Tencel™ rugs, are particularly suitable for use in homes.
  • A NEW RUG smells like a new rug – it is the the water-based and environmentally friendly latex adhesive used to fix the backside of tufted rug.
The smell is temporary, it disappears. To speed it up, ventilate the rug and rooms if necessary. Avoid exposing the rug to strong sunlight.
  • SOLO collection rugs act as sound absorbers both when placed on the floor and on the wall.

NB! NEW SOLO rugs made from Tencel™ yarn shed loose fibres. This is normal for natural materials and will significantly decrease in the course of use. The quality of the rug does not change due to the shedding of loose fibres. We recommend vacuuming the rug more frequently during the first few months to remove the loose fibres.

  • Continue to clean the rug regularly with a vacuum cleaner - effective vacuuming is the easiest and most environmentally friendly cleaning method. Use plain, no-brush vacuum cleaner nozzle.
  • All rugs retain their appearance for longer if you remove dirt and stains regularly. Regular vacuuming prevents the rug from absorbing dirt. The accumulation of dirt inside the rug is the most damaging to it. Sand and other hard dirt that collects between the pile are particularly harmful to the rug.
  • We recommend to choose the right location for your viscose rug - to prevent the dirt and moisture to reach the rug.
  • Always place the rug on a dry floor. Even a newly finished floor must be completely dry before placing a rug on it. Moisture trapped under the rug can damage both the floor and the rug.
  • The surface of a new rug can be treated with a suitable dirt-repellent agent for rugs or fabrics. Follow the product manufacturer’s instructions.
  • To store a SOLO rug, roll the rug up tightly. Avoid creases. Store the rug roll horizontally. Do not store heavy objects on the rug.

For thorough cleaning, we recommend ordering the service from professionals.
A rug made from TENCEL™ viscose fiber can be cleaned using both dry and wet cleaning methods.
Thorough drying of the rug after washing is essential!

  • Do not use the rug before it is completely dry. The fibers are weaker and more absorbent to dirt when damp.
  • In case of stains on the rug, act immediately - the later you act, the more difficult it is to remove the stain completely!
  • At home, you can do surface cleaning of the rug using rug shampoos, dry-cleaning foams or absorbent powders available in stores. Always follow the cleaning product manufacturer’s instructions. Dry the rug thoroughly after cleaning!
  • If you do not have a cleaning product, the following can also help to remove stains:
    - a solution of vinegar and water (1/1);
    - a solution of household soap or dishwashing liquid and water.
  • Blot the stain gently, rinse with lukewarm water, place plenty of paper towels over the stained area so that the excess water is absorbed from the rug into the paper.
Repeat the process if necessary, avoiding vigorous rubbing of the rug’s surface. Dry the rug thoroughly after removing the stains.

Please note! The observations and recommendations shared here for using and caring for rugs are based on current practices and personal experience.
Since it is impossible for us to determine later whether the correct recommendations have been followed, we cannot be held responsible for any damage (including colour changes) that may have occurred to the rug as a result of improper use or inadequate care.
